This sort of voice that goes into this silly part of your throat - I've always found it a little bit cringe, I don't particularly like bumping into it in VO. I think anybody can do it, but that's not why it's cringe, I guess I don't really know why I think it's cringe, it just feels that way to me for actual voiceover. There are other voices I feel this way about, like Kermit type stuff, or the deeper version of this that everyone does for "demon". This is the voice I use when I am voicing a dog pretending the dog is talking to me - uh, other people do that right? Anyway, despite my pretentious gripes - I have to admit, I really wouldn't have any other voice for the Orc Peon. When recording for this, once I broke through my initial layer of cringe, I have to admit, it was fun to do such a goofy silly little guy. Maybe, just maybe, I can find peace with this sort of voice. Maybe it's okay to be cringe. Still probably not going on my demo any time soon though I think.

I have no idea why I elected to destroy the technical quality of the video. It just felt right. I started off by simply doing a lower sample rate to simulate the old audio - but then I was overwhelmed with this drive to push it further, further. I thought to myself, fuck it, let's pretend Thunk uploaded this in the early 2000s. And here we are. Completely illegible, just how I like it.
