Hello, my lovely expert and master patrons! This map is the Hangman's Courtyard (30x30), a pretty straightforward square in the city where people hang or morbidly watch people hang. And of course, this sort of spectacle always draws crowds, so it makes sense some market stands would be ready to sell some sweets or a bit of meat on a stick, right?

Your alternate versions are a couple of my favorites which I continue to bring back occasionally, Stormy and Sunset. I don't think I've made a city map without a Stormy version, and for good reason- I love the urban noir setting in my games. Better yet, rainy weather is great for making combat interesting in common environments, adding some difficulty to traveling the slippery rooftops, muting the sounds of stealthy rogues trailing the party, and adding a little bit of danger to waving metal weapons around in the middle of an open courtyard or on a tall building.

The Sunset version is something that I occasionally get asked for more of, which I am of course happy to provide. This time I think it also is great for added some added drama to the scene- a hanging taking place exactly at sunset, giving your players a clear time limit to get their business done quickly.
