Announcement - Vol. 5 Cover and Art Update (Patreon)

Hey there everybody, I've been sort of putting this off for a while so I figured I'd just get a whole bunch of stuff out of the way all in one go. First, as you can see, the cover for Book 5 is finally finished! Yay! It's amazing, as always, with Tsuu taking on a more painterly style than usual that's very fitting for the picturesque Qin landscape.

However, this announcement has been so long overdue because it has a little bit of bad news. As you have no doubt noticed, artwork posts have been rather sporadic. Quite far from the monthly schedule I hoped to maintain.

Tsuu and CJ are very busy artists. They get a lot of work from much bigger clients than me, and the fact that they are willing to work with me at all is a testament to their character and generosity. Frankly speaking, they are way too good for me.

I'm not going to go into heavy detail, but due to their overwhelming workloads and rapidly accumulating backlog, we've agreed to temporarily suspend the monthly pieces until they've had time to catch up and take a breather.

What does this mean for you art enjoyers out there? Especially the ones who chose to support the Demon Tier for the promise of regular exclusive illustrations. Well, not much, believe it or not. Tsuu still has two pieces on the way, one of which should be ready quite soon (fingers crossed!) and CJ not only has 6(!) new pieces on the way before the break, but I'll be releasing (relatively) SFW versions of those illustrations for everyone to enjoy to fill in the gaps.

There won't be any polls for new artwork for a while, but you can look forward to the new illustrations being released over the next few weeks and months as Tsuu and CJ work through their backlogs, and of course the regular chapters will continue as normal.
