Dev Diary #79 (Patreon)

It's me, Keisi, calling for winter to take the fucking summer to hell. It's official, a week in a row sleeping 4 hours at most and not all at once...

This week it's time to work on the plot as promised. I was going to focus on making important changes in the whole GUI in order to have a definitive version and thus not reworking stuff every new update but... I've realized that all that requires at least a week of work so I'm going to leave it aside until the next version.

It's not all been wasted time, I've made changes:

Mabel's image no longer has bad lighting or the old outline settings, yay!

They are small changes that when I introduce all the changes it will look much cooler although it doesn't look bad to me at all. Unfortunately, I haven't made the change to the bars in the rest of the interface (achievements, crafting...) for the only reason that I want to make that change in the next version as well. I'll make it clear in the changelog that it's the beginning of a transition to a GUI change.

That includes doing some cool interface stuff on the Moonstars mini-game:

I have made more changes & stuff but they are all NSFW so I can't show them here (girl's counters, new pee scenes...).

Soooo... from this evening/night, I'll start working on the next main quest (1/2). If everything goes well and I'll try to make an extra effort to make it happen... it's possible that this week I'll start and finish the two main quests for this version. Quest 2/2 will be where you will meet Natsuki.

Talking about her, I already have the first level of trust in mind. Her story will be interesting for those of you who like wuxia/etc themes and especially for those of you who like Anna, because although at this stage of the story she is already your future wife... she will go back to her beginnings a little bit. All this as long as Natsuki is involved in a scene/level, you'll find out why by yourselves.

Not much more to say, just one thing: During several versions, there is quite an important plot content so I won't show spoilers of that in any diary, so in the following diaries I will only show things related to Natsuki and things not related to the main plot.

I really want to work with this particular quest that even though it will be a bit long... it will be interesting. I've been thinking about it for quite some time.

PS: Welcome to my off-topic corner. I don't know if I said it in a DD for patrons or public so I'll summarize it for the last time: I'll use the postscripts to talk about anything that doesn't have to do with the DD per se. For example, apart from complaining about the fucking heat... I've decided that I want to improve and practice new techniques, and learn how to use some plugins so that in the future I can make my own animations and not have to use the default ones in Koi/CS, etc. For this reason, I've started to use my free time (mornings and some nights) to fool around practicing. So far, the best I've been able to get are new textures for pee-related stuff and I've been practicing these days. That means that in the future I'm going to have to redo all the pee content using those textures (hooray!). See ya!
