"how difficult it is to be idealistic in a world like this" is a perfect summary of what One Piece is and why 'idealistic' doesn't mean 'naive' or anything like that. On the contrary, in such a shitty world, being optimistic and hopeful while still being realistic about the state of the world, may actually be the hardest thing to do, it takes an incredible amount of courage and perseverance. The way OP illustrates that is probably the thing I love most about it.
