A quick reference example of a basic structure for anthro characters (male and digitigrade in this example). Usually this construction is after a super basic gesture sketch.

6.5 heads is approximated the canon I use for these, it can vary on personal style or character though.

Technically this is the very same basic construction you can see me using on my videos when drawing very anthro characters, but I call it stylized here because aside of being a simplification of real forms, I tend to draw these shapes in a very stylized fashion at first (with some parts exaggerated, for example super thin or extra curved limbs). This is on purpose at the beginning for playing with the initial pose and gesture but most of time the final anatomy drawn on top will end up having a much less stylized look in revisions.
