Some more Veela facts. (Patreon)

I was always wondering, what the heck was Gabrielle Delacour, Fleur’s sister, doing at the tri-wizard-tournament. She was very young. Too young to attend school - if indeed the rules of attendance on Beauxbatons mimic those of Hogwarts.  

So I always sorta imagined that the rules of Beauxbatons is the kids start sooner, and they are earlier integrated into the magical world than the students at Hogwarts.

But why is she then at the Tri-Wizard tournament? She is still too young to be able to attend that.
Well, I always figured, she might have a tough time being alone. I was the older brother, and I remember sometimes having my brother sitting next to me in my class when he had just started school. My brother could sometimes feel really sad and longing and as long as he was with me he was happy. So my teacher happily allowed my brother to stay near me back then.
My peers were very nice to my brother and did everything to make him happier.

So I thought it was the same with Fleur and Gabrielle. She was timid and afraid of being alone on Beauxbatons for an entire year - perhaps she was also really new to the school. So double up on being alone. So she got permission to follow her sister to Hogwarts.

And I also thought, what if Veela are especially social, and really don’t function too well being alone all the time?

That is why Gabrielle is always clinging to Fleur. That is why she is with her, even when in bed with Harry.

(I want to make it perfectly clear that all my drawings of Gabrielle is when she is 18 years old and none of my drawings are of actual canon to the books original content.)
