Dipper and Pacifica (Patreon)

A different look, but with another favorite shipping from the show.

Pacifica is more akin to a nemesis of Mabel’s than that of Dipper. In fact, she seems rather unaffected by Dipper for a while of the show, almost neutral. She dislikes Mabel, very openly, but it takes some time for her to be conflicting with Dipper. In the end though, they seem to reach an understanding of each other.

I personally sorta got the feeling that Pacifica, being an only child, could be slightly envious of Mabel. She has a close and unique relation to her brother Dipper. If Pacifica herself finds Dipper attractive or just likes him, it would be natural for her to long to spend time with him. And also dislike anyone he likes. Including his own sister. 

Perhaps I am making her too much into a Bonnie Rockwaller character - who in my perception is envious of Kim because she is close with Ron. I like those 3-way dramas.

Pacifica I also like because she actually goes through a trans formation as a character. A good one. As Dipper puts it, she is just another link in the worlds worst chain. Pacifica actually reflects on it, and makes a decision. That is huge, and it’s very mature, and it shows that deep down Pacifica is actually a good person, who probably knows how horrible her family’s actions are, and in the end, she wants to distance herself from it. That said, she still has some flare and pride, and the bod to go with it.
