February has been a very exciting month. Lots of shorter videos animations done with another two coming up in march, alongside Growing Girl EX Part 2. I'm still trying to find my visual style for animation however, please let me know which visuals you prefer to see from the latest animations that were posted.

I've also used this month to get a general assessment of which themes and scenarios you guys seem to enjoy most. Here is what I have concluded so far:

Size - Mega & Giga
Environments - Cities & Vast Landscapes
Themes - Growth, Crush, Barefoot

Are these assessments accurate or do you have any specific suggestions? Let me know!

the growth and giga stuff is great but personally i wouldn't mind seeing smaller scale stuff every once in a while

I know a big one for me is "cramped" growth, be this something like a small house, or some kind of underground bunker with like lots of equipment showing the scale of how much she's growing etc. I've personally liked it best when getting to the bigger sizes there is lots of interaction with things like building and cars and what not as doing so allows for better comparison in our heads, as eventually scale kinda gets lost in terms of human comprehension. I also love when the girls don't like growing (shy) and stuff like that as well. TLDR:Cramped growth is awesome, Shy giantess kinda stuff who can't stop growing is awesome. Constant sense of scale comparison, be it with cars at smaller sizes, then houses, bigger buildings, mountains etc etc.

Thank you for your input! I appreciate the detailed description. Speaking of cramped growth, I'm sure you will be happy to hear that I will be working together with Beladdy (you might have heard ot him) on an office lady growth animation that features lots of cramping. After a whole month of mega and giga sized stuff, I think it's time for a breath of fresh air. So, I whole heartedly agree with you!

M8TS

I definitely know of Beladdy lol I really loved how their Moon 2 video came out and they had already come a long way when looking at their first few animations, (and so have you honestly, I loved your Ganyu series even though I know you don't) I'm happy to see that you and him came to an understanding as I remember seeing someone posing as you trying to create conflict which I honestly think is just really dumb. Happy to hear that you two are collabing especially since it's on my favorite kinda growth lol. When it comes to the GTS/general growth/expansion community, i've been watching for quite a long time and seen many different "eras" of growth animators come and go for various reasons. I find that a lot of them end up quitting the scene from burnout and lack of creativity as they tend to just listen to fans and what they want, so I feel it's important to do a variety of different growth scenarios to always keep it fresh, be it different methods of growth, different kinds of areas. Cutesy animations where gentle is the name of the game etc etc. Basically, it's important to get input from the people supporting you be it monetarily or just enjoying your content for free, but also don't feel that their inputs are the end all be all, it's important to allow yourself your own creative input and such. I've seen many artists lose that creative spirit they once had that made their videos/artworks unique by just following commissions and requests and feeling trapped by that. So I whole heartedly hope that you can continue to have this creative spark that has made all of your works so far unique to your style and quality. When animations have personality is when I truly think they shine. Sincerely, just a guy who has seen the turning of chapters and the falling of Growth Artist Empires lol.

Loved the idea of using short form videos to try out an array of visual styles. I'm going to cheat a little here and add that I really enjoyed the aesthetics of Growing Girl EX. Yae Miko's Growth Potion was breathtakingly beautiful. I really enjoyed the bright color scheme which was simultaneously complemented each element in the scene. It left me dazed and perplexed as to whether I had been whisked away to an Isekai, or was that just the impression truck-kun left on me? Intentional or not, the way the lights fluttered down was very reminiscent of failing cherry blossoms and further complemented the feel of the entire piece. While the fireflies added that extra element of mystique and naturalness to the night scene. The little things really do make the biggest difference! Your most visually stunning piece to date. Concluding that it had a sort of anime-esque style to it. Got it give it to Mega Nia next. If we're talking about "latest" animations, it certainly doesn't get better than this! I loved it instantly, which in comparison to what I was talking about previously makes sense. Both character had a clean anime styled shader to them which stood out to me. Though of course, speaking from personal preference. As for your general assessment (equips glasses, +1 perception) Size, checks out. I certainly fall in the category of a Mega & Giga lover, bigger is better and all that~ Environments. This checks out to, especially taking into consideration the former. While growth in cities is arguably lots of fun as it's easy to get caught up in the 'little things'. Themes. Growth cannot be emphasized enough. Acknowledging my personal point of preference. I love that you tackle this in your works, and that it forms such a large part of your contents overarching narrative. Being a size change enthusiast, shrink is certainly on the cards for me as well. I'll add that I enjoy getting to see the smaller scale first before getting into the more extreme sizes of mega and giga. For me it makes the growth journey that much more impactful, probably because they had a lot more ground to cover with the benefit of having everyday objects as a point of comparison before getting into the realm of larger-than-life contrasts. I think this section wouldn't be complete without at least touching on how much I enjoyed the pulse nature of Rin's growth, from Rin's stomp, with each subsequent flow of light preceding the next growth spurt. It almost felt akin to leveling up! Great to see you experimenting with the way you are implementing the visual tell-tales before the growth occurs. Though at the same time I enjoy the less immediate nature of the spurt occurring, like what is seen in Growing Girl EX where there is a glow, pause and follow through. The slower pacing of the pre-emptive nature of the growth is much more mentally impactful and makes the reality of that expectation that much more striking to experience. Crush would fall in there. Debris aside, I'd say that crush is but one part of the much larger arch of the character interaction. Notably how a character reacts to their environment. I think what's even better is the interaction namely before, during and after such an act. Reactions to the situation they find themselves in and how this reactions evolves over time. Teasing, playfulness, annoyance, surprise. What drives an action? (i.e., crush). One such scene that has since become a notable standout for me was Chiaki's eye roll at having her breasts enlarged, an annoyed "really?" at what I'm sure she perceived as a 'typical that his just has to make my boobs bigger as well'. That bit of personality and humor really uplifts a piece in my mind while subsequently adding relatability to your characters. Ultimately driving me to want to see what's instore for them. Lastly big thanks on all the wonderful work you've been creating. Part this and a request for comment had me find my way here once more! Hope this was helpful by any stretch of the imagination.

didn't really have anything specific in mind, i was just thinking some mini-gts stuff would be nice to have every now and then to balance out the regular giga growth content

In terms of "visual style" I don't really think the shorts offer any noticeable variety save for this latest End of Month update video, which looks fine but doesn't show much so it's hard to say how well it works for more involved videos. Not that they don't look different, the difference seems more in terms of effort than style. Like, Kingprotea looks rough and washed out since it's a one day animation challenge, while Big Leap looks like you spent a lot of time on it. Giga Rise seems fine in terms of overall visuals but sorta like the End of Month video it doesn't really do much, where Yae looks great since there's a lot of work poured into syncing the same kind of visuals with the more elaborate animation. If you're just asking which ones look the best I'd say Big Leap and Yae's Miko Growth win, hands down. Growth and giga are obviously your wheelhouse, and your audience kinda self-selects into that. If you're looking for themes we're into besides that, I'd vote for spending more time at mega sizes and leaning into vore. I prefer contemporary suburban/urban environments to fantasy or rural ones, but obviously when you're doing giga landscapes are fine.

Thank you for your detailed analysis! It will help me a lot in evolving my animation. Also, the room shaded style, like with Nia and Yar is by far my favorite style to work with, as its more stylized theme lets me play around with the visuals a lot more than the typical "realistic" style.

2022-03-03 16:24:56 Basically, for Rin and my upcoming Bea animation, the visuals are leaning more towards a photorealistic style, while the Yae and Nia animations are more stylized, like anime. I personally much prefer to work on the more stylized animations, cause they let me experiment a lot with the aesthetic.

I can't really add on to anything that hasn't been said before me, I find there are few mega/giga growth artists out there, so you scratch that itch perfecty. I do appreciate the butt focus in the newest animation - as an ass guy I'll take as much as I can get. Was hoping for the final spurt in growing girl ex 2 to have an upskirt angle since it looked like she was positioned to do so, but the angle chosen gives a better sense of scale so. Crushing is very accurate, especially with the bum, my sole request is a pov of what being crushed under the toosh would be like. (i.e Growing girl 3 has her go from that position to a sitting, and we get a POV of a monster from the ground about to get demolished. Just an example tho)

Oh and while IDK if I speak for the General Audience, I for sure speak for myself when I say breast/butt/thigh expansion is very welcome

lajest

Funny you mention the GGEX thing, that's exactly how that part begins. A Big Bang Monokuma shows up behind her and she crushes it with her butt

Happy to hear it! Glad my comment could be of use~ Awesome that the style will allow a far greater level of creativity and expression, even more so that you enjoy using it. Having the freedom and flexibility to work it the way you want is a huge bonus! Excited to see what you come up with in the future as you continue to hone your aesthetic. As an extra and I'm sure that this was excluded for the most part on your 'newer' animations due to the time constraints but I'd love to see more use of different camera angles and point-of-view (pov) shots similar to what was seen in Growing Girl EX. The framing and understanding of the sheer size and scale can be hard to mentally grasp so the inclusion of a wide range of angles and perspectives can really help to bring this understanding into focus. A favorite being a normal sized persons pov during some of those really proportionally epic scenes, such that you might only grasp a mere fraction of the giantess's body at any given time.

The Yae video looks great, and I don't think anyone would be unhappy with a full length video of that quality. If you prefer the experimental liberty of the more cartoony look I vote you stick with that.
