Greetings All!
Who doesn’t have a rust monster story? I hope putting this into the hands of an NPC or Player gets them a few more.
This is meant to be a set item, but for now we have the base item. This is a combination of the Rust Monster abilities and the mechanics of Shocking Grasp. I’m not sure if that will be the final outcome, so thoughts are very welcome. I debated everything from a DC to a Melee Attack, so it's been through the gambit.

Description:
Said to be part of a disastrous pair known as ‘The Corruptors’, this gauntlet has laid many metal clad warriors low. Adapting the traits of an infamous monster, this gauntlet turns its rivals into rusted husks. Within its palm it holds a source of corruption, a pit of rot that seems to bellow forth acidic fumes and eats away at the surrounding leather. Disturbing in its own right, the thought of this damaging the metallic protections of one's livelihood is outright frightening.

- This Gauntlet holds a number of charges equal to the User's Proficiency Bonus. It regains all expended charges at Dusk. These charges can be used in the following ways.
- Rusted Grasp: 1 Charge - As an Action, the user can corrode a nonmagical ferrous metal object within reach. If the object isn’t being worn or carried, the touch destroys a 1ft Cube of it. If the object is being worn or carried by a creature, the user makes a Melee Spell Attack against the target using a +7 Spell Attack Bonus.
- If the object is either a metal Armor or Shield, it takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to AC. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a Shield that drops to +0 is destroyed.
- If the object is a Weapon, it takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to Damage Rolls. If the penalty drops to -5, the weapon is Destroyed.
- The creature that wears or carries the object takes 3d8 Acid damage.
- Rust Deterrent: 2 Charges - As a Reaction, if the user is targeted by a Melee Attack, the user is able to use Rusted Touch on the attacker.
