Greetings All!

Did I spend a day designing Ice Cleats and even longer rendering from multiple angles? YEP.

I enjoyed the aspect in Divinity that you could add nails to your shoes/boots to avoid slipping on spells, so naturally I adapted it for 5e the best I could.

Let me know what you think and I hope your table gets some use out of it.

Updates: Small shadow update.

Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

- Hos (Dungeon Scribe)

Description:

This ring was crafted with ill intent. Cut and polished amber sits atop it, gleaming at the slightest hint of light, betraying its darker nature. The heavy stone and inlets of cold iron hold a puzzling enchantment designed to bind and entrap. The dark magicks and darker wizards crafted these devices as an insurance to corrupted nobles as a symbol of power and status. In the worst cases, its victims are sometimes sold as chunks of raw amber for stepping out of line.

Tabs:

  • This weapon holds 6 Charges and regains all expended charges at Dusk. These charges can be used to cast the following spells at a DC:16.
    • 2 Charges: Hold Person
    • 3 Charges: Hold Monster
    • 6 Charges: Flesh to Amber, an adaptation of the Flesh to Stone spell that changes the creature into Amber.
  • As a Reaction, the user can expend equal charges to counter any of these listed Spells when targeted by one. This can be done before or after making a Saving Throw.
