Turbine Drill Lance: One-Sided. (Patreon)
Content
Greetings All!
I realized that I had not tackled a Lance in a long time, so here it is!
Some lovely lore nuggets sprinkled into the blurb for future items or your home use. The focus of this one is around the drill aspect of the weapon, able to punch through almost anything it goes up against. With a dash of experimental mechanics for balance.
Let me know what you think and I hope your table gets some use out of it.
Updates: Small extra detail pass.
Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:
This lance is one of several designs by the tinkerer known as Alexander ‘The Mad’ Bergsanth. It is said their mind cracked when they observed what is known as the ‘World Engine’ and sought to replicate the creation through increasingly complex designs. This Lance is an early prototype of one of those such attempts, containing an arcane engine that grants the user a powerful boon.
Tabs:
- The user gains a +2 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon.
- Piercing Turbine: As a Bonus Action, the user can spool up the drill granting themselves the following features until the Start of their Next Turn.
- Reach with the Lance is increased by 5ft.
- The user (and Mount if mounted) Movement Speed is increased by 10ft.
- Attacks with the Lance deal an extra 1d8 Force Damage.
- Due to the whirling nature of the Lance, Attack Rolls suffer a 1d4 penalty.
- Drilling Lunge: If the user (or mount) moves at least 15 ft in a Straight Line immediately before an Attack Action, the first attack is granted an extra 1d12 piercing damage and ignores Cover under 10ft in thickness.
