Putrid Sickle: One-Sided. (Patreon)
Content
Greetings All!
Not going to lie, the first time I found out about this practice I was terrified of it. Been sitting on the back burner for a while, but I just think it fits so well into low level gameplay. Especially as something to put into enemy hands.
This was a debate on tier placement for a while, the issue being most Commons do not tend to do damage. To balance that the DC and Breakage was added, which turned out to be closer to a Basic Poison effect with around 20 uses (not talking about you gnome players).
Now depending on what train of thought you use for Basic Position (1 hit vs 1 Minute) it could deal out roughly the same effect with a 2 action cost of application without risking the 5% chance of breaking. So all in all, a little better than mundane, not quite up to Uncommon standards.
So.. here we are.
Would love to hear your thoughts with the build and mechanics, #GAMA next week!
Updates: Lineart Fixes
Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:
This hastily made blade holds a putrid secret: it has been crusted with a primitive poison. A combination of rotten food, blood, and excrement has quickly rusted the blade and sealed its fate. This trick, while well known, is considered underhanded and certainly dulls and ruins a blade. However, until such time that it breaks, it becomes a fearsome weapon, as a simple cut can be life threatening.
Tabs:
- Tainted Blade: On Hit, the target must succeed a DC:10 Constitution saving throw or take 1d4 Poison Damage.
- Hazardly Made: On an Attack Roll of 1, the blade shatters, and the weapon is Destroyed.
