Growing my Candle Backlog. This item was submitted by Strider the Blue Dragonborn

I really enjoyed this submission, it took a bit of refining to get it to the requested tier, but I think that only further increased the fun.

Color Spray, while powerful, is a niche spell. That is coming from someone who greatly enjoys it, so I could see it fitting into a Common slot. Originally it was to be a 3rd Level version, but that easily pushed it into the Uncommon Range.

Description:

A long running staple of stage magicians, these candles are known to add an additional razzle to the dazzle. Some performers refer to them as a cheap trick, but never underestimate a few moments of distraction. While they are commonly found in back alley magic shops, they sometimes find their way into second hand circles among spies and sneak thieves.

Tabs:

• When lit, this candle will burn for 2 Hours in a flame matching the color of the candle. It sheds Bright Light for a 5ft Radius and Dim Light for an additional 5ft.
• Flash: As an Object Interaction while the candle is burning, the user can speak a command word within 30ft of the candle. After 1 Round, this candle will burst into the Color Spray spell with a 5ft radius, affecting 6d10 hitpoints.
• When this feature is used, the candle is Destroyed.
