Greetings All!

Delayed update! Finally getting this one added in.

A love letter to my youth watching kung fu films and american action movies. And like a few of my favorite weapons from those genres, might not have actually existed.

I wanted something that increased maneuverability and had a small application of burst damage, so obviously it is stronger in some hands than others. Since there is no Free Action in 5e, it is tied to Object Interaction as a few other items have been. I hope you enjoy it.

Description:

Long fabled as the blades used among warriors of the shadows, this straight, blackened sword is meticulously well balanced and holds a razor sharp edge on one side. Often called simply a legend or propaganda of the shadows, these blades persist none the less. They are deadly and effective within the nearest shadow.

Tabs:

• This Ninjato functions as a Shortsword but deals Slashing damage.
• Shadow Disciple: This sword holds 3 Charges, regaining all expended charges at Dusk. It can use the Charges in the following ways.
  • 1 Charge: As a Bonus Action, the user can use the blade to traverse shadows. In dim light or darkness, they can teleport to an unoccupied space within 30ft that is also in Dim Light or Darkness.
  • 2 Charges: As a Bonus Action, if Lightly Obscured, or within an area of  Dim Light or Darkness, the user deals an extra 1d6 Slashing damage for this turn.
