Greetings All!

There is something about clasp that holds a deeper meaning to me, a beautiful thought of it holding the warmth around your shoulders in some semblance of home and hearth. That said, this item is inspired by that.

A useful mechanic and a more flavorful and just as useful one held together in bits of iron and steel.

The mechanic for shadowing back to a previous location, I think I picked that up from an old turn base I played years ago but the memory is faint. For direction home, it tickled me thinking of the pin gently tugging like the needle of the compass to guide you back to where you belong.

Thought as always, are very welcome!

Updates: Small shadow tweak.

Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:

This cloak clasp holds a simple appearance of darkened metal and a polished steel band. Upon closer inspection, one witnesses small oddities in their reflection in the polished section of the band: a delay. Their appearance within the gleam is delayed from anywhere to a moment to several seconds. It is said these clasp were originally crafted by a mother for her numerous sons when they first left home.

Tabs:

  • Get-Back: As a Bonus Action, the user can touch the clasp and Teleport back to any unoccupied space that the user moved through this Turn. Once used, this feature cannot be used again until the next Dawn.
  • Where You Once Belonged: Over the course of 1 Minute, the user can grip the clasp and focus on what they consider Home and have visited before. The user will have a general sense of the Direction and Distance to that specified location on the same plane of existence. The user gains Advantage on Checks related to Traveling towards this location until the next Short or Long Rest.
    • This feature is not effective against Magical Obfuscation or similar effects that might veil the location.
