Greetings All!

Tis the Season! And now I’ve declared as a tradition, that I will release one more of thIs set every Holiday Season.

As artifacts, they are monstrously powerful. I did tone down the hate from last year, but I just love the idea of a magical set worn by the reigning ‘Klaus.’ It should be noted they get a little more balanced every year, but I definitely want to rebalance the Hat for next year again.

Description:

This iconic hat has long been associated with a merry maker that clad themselves in the iconic red. Long associated with traditions from various cultures and events following the Winter Solstice, this is but one of many items long held by the ancient maker. Simply known in several realms as The Klaus.

Tabs:

  • While worn, the user must give a heartfelt gift to another to unlock attunement.
  • The hat possesses 6 Charges. These charges can be restored in the following ways, but cannot exceed the maximum charges.
    • Roll 1d4+2 to regain expended charges at Dawn.
    • Spending 1 Hour crafting an item with Woodworking Tools will restore 1 charge.
    • Ho-Ho-Ho: Once per day, the wearer can let out a bellowing laugh that restores 1d4 charges to the hat.
  • Well Traveled: While attuned, the user understands all languages both written and spoken and can communicate back in kind.
  • With a Wink: 1 Charge - As a Bonus Action. Placing a finger beside their nose, the user is able to Teleport to any unoccupied space within 60ft.
  • On Dasher: 2 Charges- As an Action. The user can summon forth a ‘Reindeer’ using the Elk stat block with minor adjustments. The summoned creature will obey the user until dismissed as an Action, or is reduced to 0 HP. A maximum of 8 of these creatures can be summoned at a time.
    • Flying Deer: The Creature possesses a Flying speed of 70ft.
    • Hearty Stock: The creature has an additional 50 Hit Points to their standard pool, and the user’s proficiency bonus added to AC & Attack Bonus.
  • Be Merry: 2 Charges - As a Bonus Action. With a wiggle of their ears, the user can cast the Calm Emotions spell at DC:17.
  • Not a Creature Was Stirring: 6 Charges, Action. The user can cast the Time Stop spell.
  • The Clause: While attuned to this item, every Long Rest will cause the user to grow 2 inches of snowy white beard. This will cease once it reaches the length of 2 feet.

This item is part of a set, or several, simply known as the Garbs of the Klaus. While attunes to multiple items of this set, the user gains the additional following features.

  • 2 Items: The items share a Charge Pool.
  • 3 Items: Rosy Red is now permanently active.
