Greetings All!

This item does not have dual descriptions, rather it pays homage to a young Hos and Fallout 1 which blew my mind in so many different ways. From finding an alien spacecraft to the tardis, in ages before the internet was able to explain these amazing easter eggs. So I thought the description would work for both!

Due to the alien nature, and sheer technical marvel of the blaster I chose to build it more like a Wand than the non-SRD Firearm. With the complex aiming features taking on charges and areas over complex maneuvers, evolved simplicity.  After all, advanced enough technology would appear as magic to us.

Description:

Rumor has always carried that these mysterious powerful weapons were found within a crashed silver disk. Smashed nearly through a mountain, the first was located with a pale small creature clinging to this and various other mysterious technologies. While never able to be reproduced, the small armory lifted from the silver disk ensured that their impact would be spread far and wide. Unleashing their power on the unsuspecting and throwing power balances into disarray.

  • This Blaster is considered a Simple Ranged Weapon, the user is able to understand the basics if instructed in its handling over a 24 Hour Period. If there is no instruction, the user must attempt a DC:16 Intelligence Check to learn the secrets of this item, taking the same allotted time. GM decides the repercussions of failure.
  • Alien Technology: This item holds 12 Charges, that can be expected in the following ways, all requiring a DC:16 Dexterity saving throw from the targets. It will regain 1d8+4 Charges daily at Dawn but only if attuned to an individual.
    • 1 Charge:  As an attack action, the user targets a creature or object within 240ft, dealing 3d6 Acid damage on a failed save.
    • 3 Charges: As an Action, the user focuses the beam into a line that is 60ft long and 5ft wide. Each creature in this area takes 4d8 Acid damage on a Failed Save, or Half Damage on a Success.
    • 6 Charges: As an Action, the user chooses a point within 60ft and unleashes a orb of destructive energy, consuming a 15ft Radius Sphere. Each creature in this area suffers 8d8 Acid damage on a Failed Save or Half Damage on a Success.
  • When expending the last charge, roll a 1d20. On a 1, this weapon overheats and ruptures, becoming a Shattered Mysterious Blaster.
