Crossbow of the High Seas: One-Sided. (Patreon)
Content
Greetings All!
Closing out the Patreon Exclusive Week!
If all goes well, I’m actually in a Plane on my way to PAXU currently, so I hope you all enjoy this and it goes off without a hitch. I had a lot of fun with this one, I debated making the loading property only available underwater but balance wise that might be a future edit.
In the meantime! I appreciate you all, they have just been putting up with a lot as I juggle the kickstarter in the background.
Updates: Brand New!
I hope you enjoy this one! Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:
This crossbow holds tell-tale signs of the sea. A smattering of barnacles just announce that loudly to observers. Beyond that, its metal arms feed into two clam shells that flank its sides and cradle the main body. Water tends to form a small pool within these shells that always carries a salted flavoring. Even the heavy string holds signs of aging from prolonged exposure to salted air. All signs seem to call the bow home to the sea.
Tabs:
- The user gains +1 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon.
- Aqua Bolt: Nocking the crossbow without a bolt, will cause water to coalesce forming into a bolt made of pure water. When this bolt is fired, it does bludgeoning instead of piercing damage and ignores range limits while submerged underwater. When used this way, it lacks the Loading property.
- Show Em Your Salt: When making a ranged attack with an aqua bolt the user can choose to instead scatter the shot over a 15ft Cone. All creatures caught within this cone must make a DC:13 Dexterity saving throw or suffer 3d4 Bludgeoning damage or Half damage on a successful save. Once user, this feature cannot be used again until the next Dawn.
