Greetings All!

This was not a submittal this week, as I did not get many Commons. I will be adding the submittal form to my stories and then pinning to my profile in this coming week. For now, this is something that had been on my list for a while.

The Jaw Harp, this has a number of names (one of which is rather offensive and doesn’t need to be mentioned), I actually first encountered the mongolian and nordic versions. I had seen it in a handful of small things but a demonstration video is what drove it home for me.

Thoughts are very welcome and I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed adapting it!

Description:

Sometimes known as a Morsing and Murchanga, these simple instruments have found their ancient roots in several cultures. Held to the mouth of the player, it transforms the orifice into a resonator, greatly amplifying the sound. The user is able to manipulate the metal tongue with a hand to create melodies, creating a versatile instrument that can easily fit into a pocket.

Tabs:

  • Root Instrument: If the user is proficient in another instrument. Over the course of a Week, the user can gain proficiency with this instrument with light practicing over each rest.
  • Musical Instrument: A bard can use a musical instrument as a spellcasting focus.
  • Concealable:  The user has Advantage on Sleight of Hand (Dexterity) checks to hide this item on their person.
