Greetings All!

I am so sorry that this slipped through the cracks! I just realized when I was compiling the monthly list, I hope you still enjoy it!

It was really a toss up between tying this to eldritch horrors or demonic for inspiration, and one has just been hitting home for me lately. I promise some infernal fun in the future to make up for it.

While at its core this item is simple, leaning towards a trinket that has an expandable power but an unsettling presence. I genuinely hope you use it as more, a loose thread that leads to a door to something ancient and indifferent. A perfect way to start slipping corruption into a campaign, not a curse or a rule but a tool. Those are my favorite things to make for a player and DM.

Description:

This ring is carved from a smooth stone and  inset with similar types of polished rock. The detailed work for a simple band is nothing short of masterful, and yet it still seems flawed in some way. The more one focuses on this unseen flaw, the more it tugs at one's mind. It draws in the observer to venture deeper into the patterns, and if one peers deep enough it will slowly twist the mind and give glimpses of a place that should not be... But rest easy, it is still just a simple stone ring.

Tabs:

• While worn, the user gains the ability to cast the Chill Touch Cantrip with a spectral tendril.
• This ring holds 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges at Dusk. The charges can be used to replicate spells in the following ways.
• From the Void: 1 Charge, as an Action. The user summons ichor and tentacles from the ground, replicating the effects of the Entangle spell.
• Elder Speech: 2 Charge, as an Action. A single word echoes from the unknown and tears at reality, replicating the effects of the Shatter spell.
• All spells cast from this ring use a DC:15 and a Spell Attack Bonus of +8.
