Greetings All!

Something new and a subtle nod to the start of spook season!

Definitely enjoy the tickle at the back of your neck and the subtle movement of shadows. This is a small ode to that creeping crawling somewhere deep in the dark. I wanted something that allowed players to fully embrace borrowed power, while fully knowing there might be a cost in the future.

Aberrations having a leg up is always a terrifying surprise encounter for item hoarders. I hope you enjoy, as always comments/thoughts are welcome!

Description:

This composition of odd materials appearing to be some foreign metal or stone always has a clammy coldness to the touch. This small idol statuette is a representation of tentacles or tendrils reaching skyward. Whenever half glimpsed near the corner of one’s vision, the idol appears to wiggle and shift, adding to its unnerving presence.

Tabs:

• While in the user’s possession, they gain a +1 Bonus to all saving throws as the idol whispers a warning.
• Beyond the Fringes: As an Action, the user is able to summon forth residual energy from the idol, granting 1d4 Psychic damage to all damage rolls for 1 minute. Once used, this property cannot be used again until the next dusk.
• While in the user’s possession, they have disadvantage on any saving throws against Aberrations.
