For many knights, dying in one's bed is a rarity, but it is almost unheard of for the residents of this grove, whose swords and spirits are laid to rest, their names etched into the great stone, their burdens bequeathed to the next generation. This glade exists as a tranquil repose for brave souls who have dedicated their lives to the service of good, and the protection of untold friends and innocents who shall never forget them.

In a game I play, my Inquisitor recently had a near-death experience, and I like to imagine that for him and his roving family of undead-slaying warriors, there exists a special place to mark the end of that journey, where duties can finally be laid to rest, and a well-earned retirement may be enjoyed.
