hey guys! It's kenno again. Patreon pushed a new update (which according to their help page it's in beta and only 50% of creators have it? idk how updated that info is) which allows creators to block patrons. That's a big yay for me since I get 5-10 fake pledges every month and the usual in-and-out patrons trying to steal something month in and month out, so finally i can deal with that.

On the other hand tho... I can't delete pledges anymore :I A decision i'm certainly against. So, what does this mean?

If your patronage was declined, you won't be deleted anymore. Meaning you will still get posts from time to time of your selected tier, but no after-hours comics of course until next month (if you successfully get your patronage processed). Also if you're "branded" as declined and I see your suggestions on ideas-posts for after-hours, they'll be ignored in respect of those who actually supported.

Just something I thought I should let you know ._. Have a great weekend!

Yey for the blocking feature! But you can't delete bots and freebooters? That's just gonna cause another problem : D

Well after they're blocked, their pledge is deleted and they can't pledge again nor contact you. So no more freebooting until they make another fake account i guess. Rinse and repeat until one side loses interest.

Supposedly, patrons with declined pledges can't see patrons-only posts until they fix their pledge. I don't know when this happened, but I don't think it was ever announced. I only found out about it by chance on their Zendesk pages. If it does work, it seems weird that they would bury any mention of it.
