about reposting (Patreon)

Say guys, what's your opinion on the matter of having people reposting After Hours on the internet? A good friend of mine showed me that the mugger censored arc is on e-hentai xD http://g.e-hentai.org/g/662153/2c636aaf75/ of course bringing waves of hatred towards it, and myself. first of all, i think i'll start putting a patreon logo at the bottom with the link to the patreon page, because if this is going to get reposted, I might as well take advantage of that. A thing I have to add, and it's of great importance!. Most of you have probably already figured this out, but please don't repost the uncensored pics anywhere D: My intentions are to make them available for sale, for a dollar or two, as soon as we gather 3 or so story arcs.

I think its the same problem as with tumblr. your always gonna have people just reposting things without sourcing. but yeah its probably a good idea adding the patreon logo, or if you really wanna piss people of you add a giant see-through watermark over the whole page. that said I'm also afraid someone does the good old thing of signing up for a day, ripping all the content and then dropping off again and it feels like it might only be a question of time when that happens. so yeah it feels like getting a bit more aggressive with water marks for the sake of advertisement might be a good idea. but thats only my take on it.

same thing happened to my friend merriberry on day one of her comic release of leaping a frog, someone posted all the comic images on board 18 chan everyone was furious and we all reblogged and voiced to have it taken down its not fair to the people who put there time and effort into their work and someone thinks its all right to go post it. personally it makes me angry when people repost any work without paying/earning its unfair. anyways as long as its the censored version im not too angry just kinda irritated that someone would do that.

I don't think you can really stop people from getting them if they're determined, so I'd say once an arc is finished, put it up for sale for 2 months or so at like 3 bucks, then post them on tumblr or someplace uncensored. That'll still let you get a bit of cash for selling it and then some good will for posting it uncensored, which might drive people to patreon (especially if you put the logo/link on the bottom).

People will always have something to complain about, but a patreon logo and/or link may help straighten things out.

Ok, the patreon address shall be there then. I have to think what else should i write there, maybe a phrase or something, like "This comic is patron-supported. read more here www.etcetcetc" O.o I'll wait a little more to use watermarks. Those are really really cruel xD You have the porn right there, but blocked straight in your face. at least with a censor thingy you're not giving them the "Porn" part yet.

This would be a good idea, buuuut I think 3 months is too soon :U it would have to be a more "punishing" timespan for those non-patrons, like, say, a year.
