How about, next page starts with a wide shot, police sirens are visible in the distance, Muggs is lying unconscious on the floor. Next frame, Alex is driving the boat, already far away, with the pier in the back, as police officers get on the scene. Next frame has Soph checking on muggs' pulse, with a relieved face, as the other officers take pics and check the scene. the last frame is a wide shot of the sea, as Alex sails away in the night's horizon.

I'm thinking Alex should be giving some thoughtful, almost romantic monologue of how it was all an exercise in futility, yet Muggs kept trying, earning her respect, and hoping they meet again, or something? what do you think?

Alex is going to sail away on a boat as Muggs is passed out on the pier. I had an idea of one final black and white flashback of Trace, but this time it's from the night Alex and her had sex. or rather, just when they are about to Trace asks Alex to maybe put on Mugger's hat and/or wear mugg's perfume before they sex because Trace misses Muggs and wants to pretend Alex is her before they kiss, trace begs muggs for forgiveness (for cheating) and for mugger to love her again. "can you put this on? it was blackcock's perfume" "blackcock, come back to me. love me again." I was thinking just three small panels each put between the final actions of the page. Alex sailing away and a shot of mugger passed out on the pier or the top half of the page is the flashback and the bottom is the present with alex sailing away and looking back at mugger in the distance shot from alex's perspective on the boat at sea Alex has a few lines of monologue. maybe being jealous of that love or admiring how far mugger went to avenge trace

I said it my own idea, but I think it works in yours too: Alex being jealous of how Mugger went so far to avenge her old flame. Maybe because Alex never really had sex that involved love?
