yesterday i opened my pc (windows 8) and i got a little notice saying "Oh, windows 8.1, download it from the store" and i was like "yeah whatever it's probably like an itunes update where nothing relevant changes. I update it, and surprise, my network drivers go crazy and i lose any chance of connecting to the internet. Here i am, with a formatted computer, reinstalling everything again.

This reminds me a lot of when I wanted to re install my pc, but realized my Windows 8 download could only be 64 bit if the computer it is downloaded to is 64bit AFTER installing windows 7 32bit in order to upgrade from that because my windows 8 64bit cd was broken. I had a lot of fun with that... Now Windows 8 64bit is safely stored on a USB stick to boot from whenever. NEVER AGAIN!

Yeah I didn't see any good reason to upgrade to 8 in the first place, 7 is working perfectly fine for me

well 8 is ultimately faster then 7. but yeah so far I have restrained myself from updating to 8.1 cause I have heard of many problems with drivers. wish I had maybe warned you about it before since I know you also had 8 :(

Mr Ru

This is why I stuck with 7

XD but windows 8 was FANTASTIC!! i have a 4 year old laptop, and windows 8 made my poor fella a lot faster. Boot in 1/10 of what it used to take on win7, and shutdown in less than a pinch! But this stupid update really fucked me up. After reinstalling windows 8 again, apparently it saved a copy of my previous files in a windows.old thingy that is OBNOXIOUSLY HEAVY and it will take two hours to delete. and my pc is stupidly low atm ~O~ oh well.
