While the original is still the best one simply because it started the franchise so perfectly, this one was sooo much fun. More kills, bit more action, more madness, good CGI. The initial character clashes in this one made sense because each was a boss in their own domain, but they finally grow up by the end. Note, at no point does Claire try to "one up" Owen; she's just used to being alpha in her role as park director and adjusts to him being alpha in his role of understanding the animals when shit hits the fan thanks to that numpty security guard. I liked the creativity with the Indominus Rex turned villain, but she still didn't surpass the original T-Rex. T-Rex from JP had the nostalgia factor, making her a fun addition to the final scene. And yes, I think you'll enjoy the next two (Fallen Kingdom and Dominion). They're different from this, but both still really fun with the introduction of newer dinos. Dominion has its weaknesses, but bringing back the original characters from Jurassic PARK definitely made it more worthwhile, imo. Claire and Owen's further character growth in the additional films enhances them as well. They become less abrasive and more in tune.
