According to Vin Diesel it sure is. I love the fact that in the build up to this movie he referred to the fight between himself and The Rock as "fun for cinema" and something people had been apparently dying to see for years.

Such an incredible film! An yeah a few of these films after Tokyo Drift are actually set before the events of it, it'll all make sense as you watch them anyway, looking forward to the next!

There's a really interesting video by Nerdstalgic talking about how the stunt team for this movie made this film so incredible. I think it makes the film so much better knowing how much effort they put into making it look realistic. Check it out if you're interested!

in case you were ever curious of who Chris Hemsworth's wife is, it's the Brazilian rookie officer aka Dom's new girl 😏😏 also, i've heard that it was in like the movie deal that The Rock couldn't beat Vin in any fights... do ya'll know if that's true because yikes. OH! and Han's death/Tokyo Drift canonically take place between movies 6 and 7 🫡

I think people don't like the new movies bcz they change the "purity" of the first 4 movies which were : cars, races and girls. They feel like they ruined the feel of the movies with insane stuff that feels like some game missions.

The movies are so much fun and tbh other than the OG this is the best one, but after 7 it just just goes off the rails like they're just so bad but still so much fun to watch.

The comment "It can't get crazier than this can it" Me thinking, flip car, parachutes, red car in Dubai, plane magnets, space...This series jumps the shark in a tank driven by a whale shark.

Damn, the scene with paul not remembering his father. I just happened to look up that he had a daughter in real life, and after 13 years living away from him, she moved in the same year this film came out with him. Clearly had an effect.
