I think Hisoka's deal is that he just wants to have fun fighting worthy people and wants to keep people alive who have potential to give that to him in the future. It makes him a little excited 😂 Agree there is a vibe to this anime that sticks with you, even with the different arcs. I think it's the soundtrack mainly which manages to do that
