I thought MAPPA did extremely well with this. I actually think doing it this way with the hour specials is actually great. Felt so immersed and flowed so well which with shorter episodes would have dented the feel of it. Teary at a couple parts and super hype at a couple parts. Really awesome penultimate piece. Am interested to see what they choose to do for the final special, whether they take a different direction to the manga at all
