Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Dune, Blade Runner2049) is definitely a director to watch out for. While he’s improved with each film, he honestly knocked it out of the park with this one. The opening immediately unsettles you and the tension is just felt throughout with the clever choice of music. The opening and the convoy to Juarez are definitely the most memorable scenes.

I'd recommend "Training Day" and "Set It Off" if you haven't already seen them, they're fire action movies🔥

This was a really good film. Definitely a different change of pace to a lot of films and was an experience. Personally I feel like the start of the film wasn't fully realised in the final half but they went a different route and more character focus than story focus as such, which is fine. I think this director is becoming one of my favourites now. Slowly learning which directors and sometimes writers/producers I like from watching all these movies with you and noting them. I didn't really pay much attention before

You've talked quite a bit about Breaking Bad on your channel and how much you loved it, but I don't think I've ever heard you mention Better Call Saul. This might be a longshot, but if you've never watched it, it could be something new to react to on the channel, like after all the Daredevil and Punisher stuff. You also said you wished you could react to Breaking Bad, and obviously you can't, but Better Call Saul would be the next best thing.
