This was one of my faves when I was younger! I payed the soundtrack on repeat and was surprised by how many of the songs I still remembered. There is a deleted scene where they talk about M&M's on pizza which is why she sends it to him. This book series is one of my guilty pleasure comfort reads. The movie changed a fair bit of it (she lives in NY, her dad isn't dead, her grandma isn't nearly as understanding) but it still really captures the joy of the books! I'm so glad you watched this!! Now you HAVE to watch Clueless! It's a classic!! Plus, it's on Amazon Prime in the US lol

love this movie so much!!! fully expected you to think the fireman pole was a stripper pole like dylan is in trouble did hahahahahahah.. also i KNEW you would get that face after the line "i am invisible..and i am wet" lololol amazing reaction seb <3 would rec hairspray, clueless, 10 things i hate about you...and of course queer as folk :)

I was absolutely obsessed with the soundtrack growing up. I wore that CD out! The only thing about this movie that always bothered me, even as a kid, is how they’d always straighten curly hair as a glow up. As someone with very curly hair it made me feel bad. And I didn’t even get a royal grandmother out of it to make me feel better lol

I love this movie. Such a classic for me growing up. And Julie Andrews is such a Queen. They actually changed the story a fair amount to highlight her since she is such a highly-regarded actress. If you're looking for some more similar movies, I'd highly recommend Pitch Perfect. It reminds me a lot of Mean Girls; I think you'd have a lot of fun with it!
