These episodes really do feel like mini movies and I guess they kinda are with how long they are. This definitely felt like a huge setup episode for every character and particularly for our Dark Wizard who seems super cool. Another load of crazy bullying, screw bullies, all of them! It took me a while to work out who Enzo was but I got there in the end - Jaqen H'ghar from GoT. Getting a load of GoT actors/actresses recently lol.

Watching now and wanted to make a comment. The jocks thinking that dungeons and dragons is dangerous and leads to satanism is unfortunately realistic. This totally happened in the US in the 80s. It was part of the satanic panic and led to a lot of kids being bullied even more than usual. Generally anyone who wore black or wasn’t considered normal was at risk. It’s fascinating and terrifying. You can find some podcasts and documentaries on the subject if you are ever interested!

i don't believe this is an accurate portrayal of the 80s (even though i didn't live in that time and it could've been), but i believe they're basing it off of those OTT 80s dramas where bullying was so overdone

I was in middle school in the early 90s and I had a bully who used to put push pins in my chair. bullies were a lot more vicious back in the day, especially considering that the consensus from grown-ass adults was that it was something everyone needed to go through, like a rite of passage.
