"Could you introduce me as joker?"

This was really good! Staying on the Dc train for now after The batman and I do enjoy these types of films from time to time.

Interested to see what you guys thought about it when it came out and if your opinion has changed now :)

Watched this in the theater opening night. Amazingly scary I loved it.

I was very surprised that the director of The Hangover made such a sophisticated film with strong emphasis on class and mental health. I remember it resonated with so many people that the symbol of the Joker became popular at many protests around the time of release (some countries even prevented releasing it 👀😂). On a different note, I was obsessed with the score in this 🎵 (“Bathroom Dance” was on repeat for a good month after I watched this lol). Hildur Guðnadóttir earned that Oscar 👏🏽

Another film with very strong social commentary is “Parasite”, also released in 2019. In a similar situation to “Squid Game”, it was able to break through the language barrier into the mainstream (it even took home the Oscar that year for Best Picture 🏆)

I remember coming out the cinema super depressed after this hahah. Great film though! I went as this Joker for Halloween last year 🤡

Joker is an overrated movie, it rips off Scorsese's Taxi Driver and King of Comedy which both did those themes better.

This was a pretty decent film. I don't know the comics either so I don't really know his origin actually, but this felt like a very different take. I mean I'm not sure the timeline would even really work right? By the time Batman is of age this Joker would be anywhere from like 50-80 or something. I think in some ways they could have probably made a better film without it being the Joker as they were kinda forced to include a lot of stuff that I guess didn't add to the movie in a meaningful way and maybe limited the avenues they could take. Was still good though, felt pretty arty or whatever the proper words would be lol. I remember hearing a decent amount of controversy at the time with this film coming out but watching it now I can't really see where it came from. I don't think the social commentary in this really went into it much and wasn't anything new in the slightest so don't really get it. Maybe I will have to look up some stuff to see what was going on.

I love this movie. It's a strange film, pretty unusual to put it as a DC movie. Dark, grimy, and distorted, realistic and surreal. I enjoy it very much. Congrats for cathing the imaginary girlfrind thing so quickly, it took me much longer. :)

Santos Luna Ramirez

One of the few DC movies I actually liked… 😂

Anthony Jackson

I’d say it’s not at all that similar to other DC comic movies but it’s still very well made. Would love to see you react to “Man of steel”! (Superman) it’s slower then you’d expect but I love it so much and it’s super underrated in my opinion! Thanks for another reaction, will be watching now. -Post thoughts after in reply

nice. just watched your the batman and dark knight reactions going to watch your the joker reaction tomorrow. i dont know what i like better dark knight or the batman i like the look of gotham in the batman better than dark knight, and i like the villains better in the dark knight movie if that make sense. heath ledger and paul dano gives great performances for the villain roles. both movies have amazing soundtracks. the batman themes are so good but different if you watch the dark knight its hanz simmer but for the batman its micheal giachiino music. if you want more matt reeves movies check his planet of the apes movies with andy serkis such a good trilogy. if you want a more serious film like the batman check out christopher nolans tenet movie it also has robert pattinson in that movie. your dc film reactions are fun to watch. thanks for the reactions to these dc movies.
