"I'm Vengeance"

Loved this one! Forgot how long it takes to export and upload these long films lol. Added the Joker deleted scene at the end as well.

Let me know what you thought!

🥳🥳 I’m excited for this one

Oof, you’ve made some very vocal people very happy with this one 😂 (I’m not even gonna lie though, this is currently my favorite film of 2022).

i’ve heard so many mixed reviews about this one so i gotta find out myself. i didn’t know it was nearly 3 hours long- omg lol

Because there are so many iterations of Batman spread throughout pop culture, I’m not sure mainstream audiences feel as strong about this new version. However, being someone that LOVES Batman comics (especially the “Detective Comics”) I loved this film so much. It had David Fincher’s “Seven” and “Mindhunter vibes (some of his best work). I feel like director Matt Reeves really nailed the essence of Gotham City. I adore the Nolan trilogy, but those felt like Batman stories set in metropolitan New York or Chicago. Here, the setting felt like it’s own entity. Furthermore, the voiceover and some of the establishing shots feel ripped right out of a comic book page. I do admit the 3 hour runtime can be daunting, and that this could have been edited down to be a shorter film. However, I had such a good time with this that I overlooked that aspect because I just didn’t want it to end. ***I saw this three times in the cinema 😅

Yes!! thank u so much for doing this i've been waiting for it! I love this movie so much.. i can understand why for some people it wouldn't be their type of batman film, but I think it's fantastic both as a batman movie and as a film as well!

I read that the club scenes were filmed at PRINTWORKS in London, and I MUST attend a rave there now lol The Iceberg Lounge playlist had no business going that hard. Idc if it was a criminal hotspot, that club was 🔥😂

is it too bold for me to say i haven’t even seen the trailer... lol. i’ll definitely give it a shot. might have to be a 2 parter for me tho haha

Jeff Cabrera

Even better! That means you’re going into it blind for a more unbiased experienced. Let us know what you think when you do see it.

harexx

i definitely will. probably gonna have to be tomorrow or sunday tho

I drooled over the cinematography and atmosphere the whole time. Batman Returns holds a special place in my heart but this is definitely my favorite Batman film now.

Molly Reddy

absolutely loved this film, i watched it twice in cinemas!! excited to watch your reaction :))))

dare I sayyyyy… best BATMAN film 🤭 I consider The Dark Knight to be a Joker film as he is it’s main focus, so it doesn’t count to me haha also, best iteration of the character!!! I have been such a big fan of when Batman is doing detective work because HE’S THE WORLD’S BEST DETECTIVE so this was DEFINITELY a top tier superhero movie to me

also, I have been madly in love with Robert Pattinson since 2007 and Zoë Kravitz since 2011

first last

Finally HAHA i have been waiting. i really recommend Good Time its probably my favourite robert pattinson movie besides The Batman he kills the role and just shows how incredible he is

Yay! I happened to miss it in the movies, and was waiting for you to react so we can watch together! I think it's pretty decent, I liked it. It did not feel that special to me - it was a little different take then Nolan's, but not as different as, say, the Joker movie. It was good, all in all. Enjoyable, interesting. Riddler was pretty great, a very fun take on him.

"Definitely, it was... what's the word... I can't even speak... oh... definitely.... errr... good! " :D Brilliant ending.

That was really good. It wasn't really quite what I was expecting from a normal Batman film. I saw your reaction to the trailer months ago but that has long since been forgotten and I don't think I really understood what was going on in the trailer anyways 😂 There was something about this film that felt kinda unique but can't place my finger on what. Possibly the cinematography and the style of it maybe. I liked the different take (at least in films I've seen) to Batman, felt more personal and relatable than simply Billionaire playboy vigilante. I really liked that they put the origin story crumbed throughout as well rather than yet another rehash of the same opening 30 mins as most others probably would. The villains felt really good as well. Riddler was really good and felt kinda real, I felt it had some parallels with some people or events that have happened. I guess the Riddler never worked out who Batman was in the end, I'm sure he probably may work it out by the next film though. This film felt like it jammed so much in there though, it honestly felt like a whole season of a show in those 3 hours, was really well done. I thought the balance of action to story was really good as well. I don't think it really laboured any scene too long either. I feel like it's so hard to compare to say the Nolan Batman films to this, they just feel too different. I would say it's close to or on par with them for sure. Also would be cool to see all your figures at some point, I imagine you maybe got a few more this week 😂

Connor Ellis

It was the Riddler in the opening with the goggles. Then the Selina Apartment scene is Bruce with goggles.

Connor Ellis

Yes, that was Venom, the Bane Serum.

Jordy Van T Zand

Second time watching it and it’s such a gorgeous and gritty movie with an amazing score!! Was wondering if you’ve seen ‘Joker’, can’t remember if you’ve ever mentioned it?? Also an amazing film!

2023-06-23 14:42:46 I really loved this film! I enjoyed the take on Bruce Wayne who isn't sure of himself and who is dealing with grief, although the billionaire playboy part of him can be fun, it's cool to see a Bruce Wayne who is still quite young and not doing so well. I loved how emo the Wayne mansion was & the general cinematography. Also the practicalities of his eye makeup and the fact he wears sunglasses in the day because he spends most of his time awake during the night. And lots of it was filmed in Glasgow so I'm biased 🥰

love the batman movie. this is the fourth time i seen it. its so different than the dark knight trilogy and i like matt reeves directing style from his planet of the apes movies to the batman such a unique director. he hasnt done much movies as christopher nolan but matt reeves draws my attention like some of christopher nolan films. christopher nolan and matt reeves are my top 2 directors at the moment now. and robert pattinson did a good job as bruce and batman the fighting style is way different than dark knight style and with matt reeves style you can see the whole scene this time with the finale fighting. and the music is soo good in this film. already listened to the soundtrack a couple of times now. cant wait for more matt reeves batman movies.

Inhuman Paradox

What's funny is Nashton didn't actually figure out Bruce was Batman. That was a brilliant fake-out. Idk if you caught him saying that, he didn't know who Batman ever was because he didn't care. He talks about how "we" didn't get Bruce Wayne. As in, he doesn't realize Bruce Wayne is him.
