i think it’s a good show, but maybe because i’m a sucker for anything loki lol what’s your ranking between loki, wanda and FATWS? i’m curious

harexx

also i just love the fact that we got to explore even more of lokis character and abilities since we knew very to little of him in the movies he did appear in. tom did a fantastic job as loki

I think a lot of people didn't like the way that Loki deviated from his 'usual' character in this, but I liked that we saw a different side to him. I think the reason I like this show a lot is the fact that it feels to focus more on the 'female gaze' rather than the 'male gaze' that we are used to seeing in a lot of the other Marvel movies. Pls react to Shang-Chi next 😊

As someone who was never a Loki fan, this series actually had me come around to his character. NGL though this finale didn’t do it for me 🤷🏻‍♂️ I know they have to save the major stuff for the films, but like you said, a lot of filler these final episodes. (I’m still excited for the variant of a certain character that was introduced this episode 👀)

Don't worry I got hard jump scared as well 😂 I wasn't the biggest fan of this finale, I don't think the explanation satisfied me and not sure it made complete sense but it set itself up for a lot past this series so will have to see. I feel like this show had a lot of filler in general for what it ended up doing with the plot and because we already knew Loki fairly well as a character it wasn't quite as impactful getting to know him a bit more as it was for Wanda/Sam/Bucky, for me. I guess since there is a season 2 and maybe it relates to the other films I should maybe treat it a bit different to the other two which are basically completed arcs. We didn't get any conclusion to the judge of the TVA either and what that pen meant. I think because I felt there was another layer of meaning going on ever since the first episode and was waiting for whatever it was, it felt too strung along and the final reveal in the final episode wasn't satisfying enough for the wait. If I hadn't have thought that then I probably would have enjoyed it more. Was still a good series though and had some interesting concepts and obviously implications for the MCU, as well as introducing a fair number of new characters to be interested in for the future. Ranking the three shows feels weirdly difficult as I think I would rank them different based on which are my favourite and which I think were technically the best, possibly in completely reverse order lol. The Daredevil stuff is pretty funny, it was very obvious lol. Might be worthwhile to watch X-men, Fantastic 4 and the Netflix Marvel shows at some point just in case a similar thing happens again. Take a long time to get through them all though so up to you whether that is worth it.

my favorite finale of all the series because the MCU finally stuck the landing. this is one of those instances where knowing future casting would actually help, haha.

btw when Renslayer was talking about going somewhere in search of free will, she means she is looking for the person in charge (because she says the only person who gets to have free will is the person in charge). I absolutely loved this ending because of the massive implications it has for later movies and possibly later tv shows.

I’m not 100% sure if it’s exactly linked or a coincidence but if you play this final episode side-by-side with Wandavision’s finale the moment Wanda truely becomes scarlet witch is the same moment He Who Remains senses that the threshold has been crossed , just a cool thing I’ve seen mentioned a few times :)

Next reaction possibility: XMEN FRANCHISE. From what I've gathered, this man Loki and Sylvie spoke to is a variant of Kang the Conqueror. But he's known as Immortus. He's a more self aware, chill variant of Kang. Hence why he said his other variants are evil. As far as I know, our first time seeing Kang will be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So this ending basically sets up the future MCU and probably even Fantastic Four.

The guy who played "He who remains" was confirmed to be the main villain named "Kang The Conqueror" in the new Antman movie before he was introduced in this show. He's basically the next Thanos level threat for the MCU!!!

Davide

Regarding villains eating apples comment. When a show or movie is in a setting that's very unusual, seeing a character eat a mundane thing like an apple is unsettling. And we associate unsettling with villain. I love this episode for the possibilities of what it could set up, but I understand people who enjoy it less because it pulls the focus away from the main character. As for that future, Jonathan Majors was announced for another MCU project before he showed up in Loki and his appearance here was a surprise. Jonathan Majors impressed me with his acting here and I'm really looking forward to seeing what else he does. Any different variant of the character can be portrayed in a different way and I want to see what he does with that.

Hey Seb, Enjoyed the reaction to this series. just wanted to let you know that ik you arent a comic book guy but the He who remans is called "Kang The Conqueror" they tease it in this episode by saying conqueror but he is a fantastic Villain in marvel and cannot wait to see more of him

Brad Johnson

A basic rundown of how the time lines work. There has always been a multi-verse with multiple timelines. Kang allows any timeline that does not lead to a Evil Kang. Its only when a nexus event occurs that will lead to an evil Kang that is prunned. So the Avengers time travel was allowed because it doesnt produce evil Kang. Everyone still has free choice until it leads to an evil Kang. So basically..anything goes in all timelines until it leads to evil kang

Inhuman Paradox

Day #??? of trying to tell Seb to watch Daredevil before he gets to Hawkeye and NWH.

Davide

Warning: There's a spoiler (or, at least, something I hope is a spoiler) for something you haven't seen in the comments about these reactions on the Community tab on Youtube.

Brad Johnson

in the comics Kang is a distant decendant of Tony Stark

Michael

Realise what the next Dr strange movie is called, yeah, Loki was a HUGE moment in the MCU.

Michael

Also, the soundtrack of Loki is straight fire from start to finish.

Connor Ellis

Welcome to the Multiverse. Sylvie has opened up the multiverse.

David Peters

i think wandavision is still my favorite but loki is close second

I think I love Falcon & Winter Soldier more, it combined my favourite characters and villains and dealt with real life and the struggles of being human in a world where the blip can actually happen, it was a fantastic show after Endgame to bring us back to earth with. WandaVision was stunning, especially if you're a cinematography junkie. I, too found this ending dragged out, but I guess if you're gonna drag out a plot, you drag out the complicated ones. I cannot wait to see the carnage Sylvie has just unfolded.

Nora Bossa

Direct impact on what is to come for Phase 4: Wandavision, Loki and What if. So sad that What if would be on a different tier, I mean, is Marvel… and THE reason why a lot of us are here … Anyway… can’t wait for Black widow, Shang chi, Eternals, Hawkeye, Spider-Man No way home… which I will buy the moment it becomes available because it is A TREASURE 🤩

Andrei Novak

If you still have any questions about the loki finale, i really recommend you watch the loki ep. 6 breakdown by the youtube channel New Rockstars. After each breakdown I watch, I end up loving the movie/episode even more because of the details and explanations they give.

Angie H.

haha, used to be obsessed with them until all the Wandavision batshit crazy theories, so now I watch Beyond the Trailer for the episode breakdowns, movie math on like box office and streaming stats, and scoops 🙌🏼

Angie H.

what’s that meme? WANDAVISION: grief and pain FATWS: racism and injustice LOKI: trauma and free will HAWKEYE: it’s christmas, bitch anyywho 😮‍💨 can’t wait for Hawkeye and for you to fall in love with my two favorite ladies

Shawn Looney

Now that the table is set for the multiverse, the question you want to ask yourself Seb is "What If...?" 🙃

ayden

just so you know, we're getting a captain america 4 with sam

Tomi Pizúr

Trust me, once you see What If?.. your mind is going to blow up!

BERN

Are you watching What If? I hope so! Loved that one.

Davide

He says at the end that he is, but it being animated puts it on the anime tier. And there's the Youtube edit if you're not on that tier. But Black Widow is next and I don't know if there's any other movie before What If?

alejandro valles

nope, after this it's black widow, what if?, shang-chi, eternals, hawkeye and then spiderman no way home, and that's it for the 2021 stuff!

Brandon Moore

Of the three series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is probably still my favorite, but I loved WandaVision as well. I also really enjoyed the last few episodes of Loki and what they did. The ending really opens up the future of the MCU in a way I didn't expect and I absolutely love Jonathan Majors playing He Who Remains. I loved the way he chewed up the scenery. So excited for you to watch Black Widow, What If, Shang-Chi, and Hawkeye! Also, Eternals will be available on Disney+ in just a few days, and I'm sure Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available within the next couple of months as well.

Kevin

LOL! Yeah they basically spoiled Daredevil appearing in No Way Home. Idk what everyone is thinking though, they're not the same person, the one in the Netflix show is not canon, or he could be a variant at best.

Chris Reyes

Ms. Minutes is clearly a clock.

Inhuman Paradox

Except the Netflix show is canon. Feige called it canon in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and [SPOILER ACTOR] in [SPOILER] has confirmed he's playing the same version. The Netflix shows are canon, they always have been. No official statement has contradicted that. Cope.

RooibosDragons

One thing I think is underappreciated about this show is the character of Ravonna Renslayer. I think Gugu Mbatha-Raw delivers a real good performance, and I very much enjoy her as a villain. The implications of her final line, which you touch briefly upon, I also think are great. She says that only the person in charge gets free will. Then she says she goes in search of it. Implying, to me at least, she goes in search of power. I like that a lot, and will be excited to see her appear in coming films and/or series.
