“Toss a coin to your Witcher…” Great, now I have that song stuck in my head again 🙈 I’m not familiar with the games, but this episode sold me on the lore of this show. I’m a nerd when it comes to magic, so I was very intrigued by Yennefer’s storyline (magic has a price, etc).

I pretty much watch everything with subtitles these days, only really comedy that I try and not as it can ruin the timing. I don't always need it but it's just become a habit to leave it on. With the lute thing, Geralt said "Filavandre's lute not gift enough for you?"- so he must have been given a new one cus his got busted. As Jeff said, the song at the end is very catchy and sticks in the head. They have a fun dynamic those two. Witch stuff was pretty cool. Decent chunk of worldbuilding with the elf backstory and I guess the reality of the war outside of the POV of royalty from the 1st episode. I do like the fantasy medieval magic type aesthetic for films and shows, has a charm to it.

speaking of sometimes speaking over some lines 😂, you did miss hearing the part where the big bad mage was congratulating Yennefer for not letting her emotions consume her and successfully spying on the dude she makes out with in the catacombs (the scene literally right before we see that HE is ALSO spying on HER for the icky warlock)

Seb you are looking much more handsome than usual lol. This show has sooo much to pay attention too but it's definitely worth it. Can't wait for the next episode. It's a great one.

I grew up watching loads of TV. Now I feel my brain turn to oatmeal. I haven’t turned on my TV in years. It is my cross to bear. Lol. But I enjoy good films and have enjoyed Seb’s reactions there.
