Goddamn this film was amazing!!!! I had TOO MUCH FUN with this film and this is now my favourite Christmas Movie of all time straight up. Really hope you guys enjoy this reaction as I was cracking up and vibing for the 2 hours. And Snape is one naughty boy...

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I've never been able to get the hype around this movie every holiday season. People are mad for it. That said, will still watch it with you. Who knows, maybe my mind will change.

Glad you enjoyed it, this movie is a yearly tradition for me. 🎄😄 I think people brush it off because it’s not conventional/ entirely feel-good, but the cast is SOLID 👌🏽 Other yearly tradition movies include: Elf, The Grinch (2000 Jim Carrey version), Die Hard (yes, really 😂) and The Polar Express

I actually did care about Sarah and Karl, but the cast was SO stacked that I get why you didn't. All I can say is, Sarah was WAY more selfless than me because if I'd had that man almost naked in my bed, I would 1000% have ignored the phone! 😂 But the whole movie was about all the different types of love, not just romantic love, and her story was about the love between siblings. I just don't think someone should have to give up their life to care for another. It's not healthy and leads to resentment in the end. I absolutely love this movie and I'm so glad you did too! Have you ever seen Die Hard? If not, Jeff and I can start up the argument with the rest of your patrons on whether it's a Christmas movie or not. I vote yes, it's a Christmas movie, and you should watch it, if you haven't already! 😁

Spot on about the guy who's in love with his best friend's wife, if he wasn't attractive, he would have been perceived as a creepy stalker and she probably wouldn't have kissed him. Anyway, I loved Emma Thompson in this, she made me cry like a baby.

Would love to see a reaction to Rent from 2004 - also has a christmas-y/new years-y feel to it, and it's an absolutely beautiful movie and musical. It's written by Jonathan Larsson who also wrote Tick Tick Boom that Andrew Garfield just starred in. I think you would really fall in love with Rent, just be sure to have the tissues ready as well, as it is an emotional movie too

I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone enjoy this film as much as you did, and it made me fall in love with it again. So lovely. If you like this film, you will likely lovvvve The Holiday, if you want to keep on with the Christmas reactions. Also a stellar cast, as a wonderful heartwarmer.

I wasn't sure if I had actually seen this before or not because had seen clips of it during music videos and such way back. Had definitely not seen it before, it was way different than I thought it was going to be. Was not expecting that amount of sauce either. Seeing little Sam was so cute, I don't know if you recognised the actor or not- Jojen Reed from GoT among other things. He had to be the best character for me. Such a stacked cast though, almost too stacked. I guess they covered a decent breadth of relationships there. Also if anyone has or will cheat on you Seb, I'll get the SAS to pay them a visit! This was really enjoyable though, just felt like it floated from scene to scene so effortlessly. I guess we didn't really get a resolution to many of the couples but I guess maybe that was the point. Even though there was some sad scenes in it, it did generally feel, particularly by the end, a feel good film.

Definitely my favorite Christmas movie! I think Jamie and Aurelia's storyline is my favorite! There are some people (including me) who think Mr. Bean is actually some sort of Christmas angel orchestrating things behind the scenes (stops Alan Rickman from buying the necklace at first and helps Sam get past security at the airport). I agree that Sam is adorable, and I love his relationship with his stepdad. That actor, Thomas Brodie-Sangster is pretty good in anything I've ever seen him in. And of course Emma Thompson is AMAZING! Glad you enjoyed it so much!

I think I smiled the whole way through this reaction 😊 I re-watch this every Christmas, so it was fun to watch along with you this year and I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much. It is an absolute classic. Yes it's a bit cheesy and there are probably a couple too many storylines going on but it's so sweet and charming, and that's why so many people still love it. And the whole cast is just A+. I agree with all of the other people commenting that you should check out The Holiday, another great festive romantic comedy 💙

I've read some behind the scenes trivia that says your Mr. Bean theory is fact, that it was in the script originally that he was an angel who interfered to help people, but they ended up cutting it out. Not sure if that's confirmed by someone who truly knows, but it does make the look that he gives to Liam Neeson make more sense. Although I suppose he could have just been a bystander who overheard and thought he could act as a distraction, but he'd have had no way to know they would use him as a distraction. An angel subplot that got cut makes much more sense.

you should watch The Holiday as another cute christmas movie. also my fave romcom is 50 First Dates, it'd be awesome to watch that!
