I now present, the LONGEST Climate Town video we've ever made. It was a labor of love and is the first video to break the 30-minute mark. I worked pretty hard on this one, so please enjoy at your leisure.

This premieres at 11:15am EST today (Monday), so if it ain't playing, you were just too quick for it.

Love,
Rollie

Great video, Rollie... as usual. I came for the knowledge, but I stayed for the comedy! A great mix of both.

Yeah 20-30 minute videos are great when they are hilarious, as yours usually are. I checked out the podcast today for the first time. I think it could use more comedic smacktalking mixed in with the dry policy wonkery. The tweety-bird impersonation of the auto industry was good.

What’s even more amazing about these endless asphalt seas of parking is the number of drivers who “vulture park” trying to find the “primo” parking spots because they don’t want to walk through the entire parking lot (because of course they don’t, it sucks!). But not a single one of them would agree to getting rid of all that parking! Why? Because they expect “other people” to use it to make space for “their” primo spots!

I think this was the episode you mentioned that Property taxes wouldn’t be able to cover every service that’s available. Apparently, they knew this in the 60s. Somewhere near the beginning where they talk about the single family house not being sustainable, the guy mentions it. https://youtu.be/2ivp442RLS8?si=JTPLuDZRaGkb374v

Rollie - It's really alarming that this video didn't mention the group that is really catalyzing most of these pushes for eliminated parking minimums: The Parking Reform Network (https://parkingreform.org), who has Donald Shoup as a board member. As a member, I would ask that you consider creating an addendum with this group to plug their work and ask people to consider donating to this terrific organization.
