Next please watch Rise of the planet of the apes(thats the one that won the poll)....after that is dawn of the planet of the apes then war of the planet of the apes...then theres a new one coming out soon. That trilogy is sooooo much better.

Idk if you're still confused (im at 1:17) but the main dude went through an electrical storm and was pushed forward through space time to that planet thousands of years after the crew ship landed. They landed at different times. The apes on that ship evolved (like how homosapeins did) to what you're seeing now on the planet.

I think this movie is unfairly maligned, probably because the 1968 original is such a classic and the Rise of the planet of the apes trilogy is so good.

Yeah the twist ending is widely despised. It has no context to provide an explanation. Apparently they weren't on Earth, they were on another planet called Ashlar. The wreck of the Oberon space station seeded life on the planet in the form of the apes and maybe the humans? But I think the planet already had humans. It seems that somehow Thade must have used the technology of the crashed space station to travel back in time to Earth arriving there far before Markie Mark, but that makes no sense, as how would Thade manage to escape the chamber, much less work out how to fly a massively corroded, wrecked space station? The ending was an attempt to recreate the twist of the original but it was dumb.

Is it just me I've always thought that the female ape look like one of the Jacksons. The commentary made this movie more interesting to me. Mark Wahlberg movies to watch the big hit The Italian Job and The four Brothers.

Something sexy about the female ape, maybe because it's played by Helena Bonham Carter. I would skip the foreplay lol and perhaps stick to doggy style.
