Like, I get it. Superman was a baby hero. He literally had no idea what he was doing and this was his first real fight. But if he was smart? As soon as he dealt with that other World Shifting machine? I would have taken Zod straight to space and fight his ass there. We saw in Invincible. With every punch of a superhuman, cities die and containers rumble. Being a Hero is NOT something to be taken lightly. Your powers are a curse mostly. Especially if you have a conscious.
