All I’m gonna say is (cuz I don’t wanna be that obnoxious ‘but in the books guy’) that I am loving the respect and liberties that they have been showing throughout the season. I am so here for the fact that they are expanding on things and questions we all wondered about in the book...cuz all we got? "and in the clouds a battle ensued and 3 days later, the head and neck of Arrax washed up on the shore’s of Storm’s End." (and the book Fire and Blood is written from the accounts of a Maester, and he admits to not knowing all the details. with that being said?) I just really appreciate that they are expanding on the ideas and truths that these Dragons??? are actual ANIMALS!!! and NOT at all like horses. on top of that, they are considered to be able to b even smarter than men, they have their own desires and personalities. likes and dislikes. and just like the King said "the idea that we control the Dragons is an illusion." and here we saw that while they are bonded, they are still wild animals, not pets. oh I love this show. Arrax wasn't even 10-15 years old here (around the same age as Luc. he was the egg they put in his cradle and they grew up together) and Vhagar? is over 150 and was right there with Aegon the First, to conquer and help bring the Seven Kingdoms to their knees. My god!! seeing how everyone deals with grief. From Rhae Rhae wanting to just scream and be in pain cuz she can’t believe what’s happening!! And then Dae Dae, so much anger and all he wants is a place to unleash it. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose so much in so little time. A Father, a baby, a son…along with your Fathers promise. Oof. I’d turn around a different person and want Fire and Blood, too. I didn’t take that neck grab as he was trying to be abusive. I do not condone domestic violence at all but she needed that wake up call. plus, With everything that just happened? I think it was his fear/grief/worry lashing out. He lost his brother to these Dragon dreams and he love Rhae-Rhae and doesn’t want her to be a slave to something that may never happen and drive her mad. He loves her and (how I took him this whole episode) is very scared and in super protective mode. Like, when she unfortunately went into labor, and he knew that she wanted to do it alone; cuz she was hurting, FURIOUS and wanted/needed pain and screaming. I’d be like her too! In disbelief of what was happening?! To me, It was her way of letting out the anger disappointment, grief, and rage, etc. And then Daemon went straight to what he knew he could do efficiently; straight into protective Husband and loyal-angry brother mode. Planning and readying for revenge. It was so sad. So much grief and loss. How could any of us know how’d we react? Let alone if we had our own personal WMD aka Dragon. I just…ugh…I love this show and care so much!!

And I actually think I like the show more than the books. It’s so amazing to get points of views n things. Gosh I am so here for this and SO ready!!! I also need me one of those tables lol . . . . . . . Aemond - I WANT HIS EYE!!!! Gramma Vhagar w/ 150 year old hearing in the middle of a thunderstorm - You want him to die??? Okay sweetie.

Arrax really spun the block on Vhagar as if they had a chance💀I don't know if you noticed with all of the blood but Rhaenyra's stillborn had some deformities that looked even more distinctive when I saw some of the behind the scene photos. But this was a great first season, definitely makes me want to start reading the books at some point (especially after seeing Daemon approach Vermithor). Can't wait for the next season 🔥

Interesting, I'll have to look up those photos. What I did notice made me think back (forward?) to Dany's own stillborn baby. The witch Mirri Maz Dur said something to the effect that he was deformed, blind, covered in dragon-like scales, had the stub of a tail, and small leather wings reminiscent of a bat.

Pretty wild right?? I don't know if this is accurate but I heard that in the books rhaenerya's stillborn actually survived the pregnancy and the description the child's looks were very similar to what you said about Daenery's child of it having deformities such as the dragon scales. (But since I havent read the books I can't confirm or deny this)

⚜️ You're a good man, Ross! Until your comment, I thought my eyes were deceiving me, or that maybe it was my imagination, or that I maybe was just wanting to find similarity with the same awful thing that happened with Daenerys that ultimately set her on her path. Also, I'm doing a re-watch of Game of Thrones and just realized that Joffrey mentions Rhaenyra and her brothers/sons/dragon in an episode. I just downloaded the books, so I'll start reading soon! I'm hearing that the show is taking liberties with the books, since the books aren't written as first person accounts, so this whole thing will be interesting.
