i hadn't seen this one but i liked it! although i personally prefer Wonder Woman she's more of a traditional bad ass demi-god (who was created from clay and brought to life by Zeus LOL) i think captain marvel being the strongest avenger makes sense since the marvel heroes dont rly have powers like that, maybe thor?

I'm glad you liked this as much as I did! I did not get the hate at all--stood firmly in Marvel films I like the most. And, I love The Long Kiss Goodnight, also with Samuel Jackson where he's the protector of a VERY capable agent with amnesia. Kind of fun to see the similarities, and I almost wish they leaned into that or had a callback. And yeah, this details the beginning of Fury starting Avengers, but if you want more backstory on the beginning of Shield, the show Agent Carter, gets into all that, and pretty fun watch (Captain America's girlfriend, Jarvis, and Tony Stark's dad Adventures basically). You definitely need to see and react to WandaVision (which is AWESOME). Maria's daughter, Monica, all grown up is a main character in it. And in Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Maria (BFF) in that universe was the one that took the test flight with Dr. Lawson and got the powers. And powers wise, yes, I think Ms. Marvel is at the top by the end of the movie. Even Feige said so: "She is as powerful a character as we've ever put in a movie. Her powers are off the charts, and when she's introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we've ever had." She beats out Thor, because she can absorb his lightning energy and direct it back (plus like zip around through galaxies moving faster than light).

Flerken. ONLY thing I took home from this movie. I want one! For some odd reason I tend to pronounce it with a HORRIBLE German accent in my head..sighs. Jude Law. Bless ANY casting agent that gets him up on screen. He is a gem. Not just looks either, boy is good. For some reason I just don't like the chick playing Captain Marvel. No reason, just gut, so I do have a hard time watching her. It's strange, never had that violent of a reaction to someone I've never met. Plenty that I've met but, yeah. Just weird. LoL
