Been waiting for this one. One of the best DC and overall Hero/Villian movies ever made imo🔥

Rowan

Yes!

Andrew Clifton

Whooo hell yes. My favorite super hero movie of all time and one of my favorite movies ever. The next one is amazing too but nothing can compare to this one.

This movie is a masterpiece. Heath Ledger deserved every accolade he got for this role. He definitely deserved the posthumous Oscar his family accepted on his behalf. Christopher Nolan took Batman to a place we'd never been before and it worked. I've heard Robert Pattinson's Batman was amazing as well, DEFINITELY not as good as this one but I'm curious, can't wait to watch that one. Like Andrew said, the last in this trilogy is really good. Maybe I'm partial to Tom Hardy as Bane, lol. He's no Heath though. To cleanse your pallette give A Knights Tale a watch. You'll see what we all saw in him early on. Another amazing actor gone far too soon. It took me quite some time to watch this, about a year after his death. The last scene The Joker is in he says they're destined to do this forever. I flipping lost it crying. I'm such a sap. Yes, I agree, the ferry scene was magnificent and I cried there too. Hell, I cried throughout. Heath Ledger also did some killer improv in this movie. The clapping in the jail cell, the last bomb at the hospital did malfunction and he just ran with it and started tapping the detonator, PRICELESS! The two videos shown on the news Heath directed himself. Nolan agreed to let him do it and I still am grateful. Heath was so in tune with the character I don't think anyone else could have done better directing those. I'm SO stoked you loved it.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger. He played the Joker and died in 2008. They planned on him being in future movies but he died from taking several prescription meds at one time. This role was his masterpiece but you should check out "A Knights Tale". One of my favorite movies with him in it outside this one. This was definitely an emotional Rollercoaster. I too loved the boat scenes. The whole thing was just so well written and the casting was perfect. Gary Oldman who plays Gordon is such a great actor and is on some other great movies. Man I can't wait for the next one. 2 series you may want to check out. The first is "Pennyworth". It's Alfred's story from when he was a young adult and how he came to know Bruce's parents. There is 2 seasons out on HBO MAX and another on the way. The other is "Gotham" which is about Jim Gordon when he is young and Bruce Wayne is still a kid. It is 5 seasons and very good.

My favorite superhero movie of all time. This is why I could never really get into the MCU because DC does DARK, GRITTY, THRILLER soo well. As everyone has said, Heath Ledger portrayed The Joker amazingly and has gone down in history for one of the best performances ever. RIP gone way too soon. You should also check out one of his other famous films, 'Brokeback Mountain'. Such a great actor. Was super hyped watching your reaction.

Matthew

This was fun, thank you. I hope you do the next one soon, it's super good as well.

I also loved the big criminal throwing the detonator out of the window, it goes to show that society's standards of judging people is not necessarily accurate. Like the Vikings of old to whom honour and loyalty meant everything, some criminals with violent warrior tendencies can have a genuine sense of honour. Also many convicted criminals are innocent of the crime, especially if there are high profile, political nuances to the case.

Aaron Barlow

Gary Oldman is my favourite actor, he's highly respected by other actors as well. Heath Ledger's joker was the greatest supervillain in cinema history.

Andrew Clifton

Agreed for sure bro. He was so good in the JFK movie and Bram Stokers Dracula back in the day. And also amazing as Sirius Black in Harry Potter. Just imagine if Heath was alive and was in the next movie and maybe even his own stand alone Joker movie.
