You really have to pay attention to the different timelines in this season, otherwise you're going to get super confused. There have been a couple of clues scattered through out the first two episodes - i.e. where people reference things as the past in certain story lines and present in others, such as Filavadrel's uprising and Queen Calanthe's first battle. If you try and look out for these instances it will help a lot.
