Oh hell yeah time to get my popcorn ready

Natasha G

Stephen King's first book!

Natasha G

"Why do we have to see them all naked" lmfao this was prime 70s horror movies. We see naked people , and people dying.

Reprovis

LEMME GET MY SNACKS AND WEED

Reprovis

I love scary movie month. I have never seen this. I grew up super religious so i am so excited!!!

Reprovis

Honestly? This is what I would have done if my faggot ass would have gotten super powers lol deadass

Reprovis

what the hell?? Yeah. You can tell a man wrote this movie and book. Jesus Christ.

Reprovis

Oh this poor girl

DeGrate One

I did and I almost died when you said this is not torture would have walked into prom with some ass lmfao

DeGrate One

This movie and others will not be considered scary but they are horror. And if this triggered you then you are nowhere near ready to watch Mommy dearest.

DeGrate One

Also also you didn't say anything about John Travolta being in this movie

DeGrate One

For example horror movies are disturbing and uncomfortable the scary movies is hide under the cover so patreon and family if you are reading this let's put some movies that will make India jump out of her seat.

Reprovis

Ima just say it…if I got powers in this movie? I’m murdering everyone too. Idgaf.

Reprovis

Every person in this town sucks lol

Reprovis

I figured it out…this movie is a horror but not the kind we initially think…it’s more a psychological horror. Adding on so much trauma and stress to the point of bursting. I like these kind…some times…but other times? I really want the spooky, scary, ghostly, WTF, creature scary…

Reprovis

the music at this prom SUCKS

Reprovis

This dude who took her to prom? Needs an Oscar for the way he is playing Carrie … he is so nice. Like so sweet and kind. wtf?!

Natasha G

What always amused me was the fact that the mom apparently played it as satire. It makes her less scary when you think about it, like that

Reprovis

Yall, do you think she’d like the VHS series?

Reprovis

Yeah. India. You gotta watch the V/H/S movies…there’s a lot too. Like 4 or 5. The most recent one just came out and my sister sent me a text saying that is was incredible!! Which is really rare. I’d love to binge those with y’all. I’ve only ever seen the first 2.

Reprovis

And no spoilers but the VHS series is kinda like watching YouTube documentaries. Meaning, it’s a collection of short videos about different topics. Spanning from what color carrots are; to what exists in the deepest of the cosmos. They’re pretty rad and definitely smoke a bowl or do an edible. They’re wild. You’ll crash out.

Dolphina

Classic 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Dolphina

She almost jumped when she saw the mom hiding at the end 😂😂😂

Natasha G

This really was one of my first movie experiences where I was okay with the whole town going away

Carrie was written by Stephen King. I never read the book (I should, I am a big SK fan). Like most of the movie versions of his books, things get left out and it may be a little harder to make certain connections or fill in the blanks. Her strong emotions triggered her abilities. I think after everything happened, she felt bad about her mother (correct me if I’m wrong), but not at all about those at the prom. I wish it would have ended differently. Btw, in the 70s, it was like the Wild West as far as nudity in movies went. You never knew what to expect and there were so many unnecessary scenes showing skin that had nothing to do with the plot. The opening scene was uncomfortable lol. They could have gotten the point across without all the slow motion close ups of what was supposed to be high schoolers, but hey, that’s the 70s for ya.

Reprovis

I’ll say it….you NEED to watch the tv series ALIAS with Jennifer Garner.

Rob Walters

I was shitting myself you was gonna skip over the hand coming out the grave.....
