Despite being a cat, I've actually taken care of quite a few snakes in my life. They've been surprisingly cool to care for! Here's a few stories about them. Feel free to share your own similar stories, as well! <3

There are SHOW SNAKES ?!? This was sweet!! I always wanted a snake as a kid but (naturally) I wasn’t allowed to have one. So, it’s super cool hearing other people’s experience taking care of snakes. I did used to have small lizards and two pet turtles when I was younger and though they are not with me anymore they were all lovely to take care of.

There are!! The show is literally just that they are big and exist. Made a whole career out of it A lot of people in my family were allergic to more traditional pets, which is how we ended up with snakes. They're pretty similar to taking care of other reptiles! Except. They're just... one big long muscle. Turtles and lizards are incredible. I remember as a kid I thought they were cool, and they're some of the stuff that just seems progressively more amazing as I grow older. Very happy they exist. 🐢🦎

Awwww what little cuties. I see so many videos of people finding their lost snakes and more than half of them are in closets. I wonder why 🤔 I never got to be around snakes before, but maybe one day 😔 I used to have a bunny and chihuahua that loved to chase each other around the garden and I caught them sharing a lettuce leaf together once. They were really good friends 🐰🐶

They like the closets! I'm not sure why. I think it's because it's concealed and not too open, which is what they instinctually might wanna avoid when they're alone. If we hang around in closets long enough, maybe we'll meet some of the secret closet snakes. The bunny and dog buds sound super nice. Like a pair of TV show protagonists. Animal friends make me so, unbelievably happy
