Flocks of echidna/galah gryphons showing up would be a worry. . Kory, will we get to see a winged lion in a story? . The secretary bird totem we need to see working in an office, in a story! . The longer term aching from bone growth during puberty is bad enough. Having more bones growing in, would be even worse. Rupert, for humans, losing milk-teeth only briefly hurts as those teeth are pulled away from the gums, there's no long term pain from that. . David doing a silly stunt like that, makes sense. .

> Secretary bird Okay, I laughed.

Those gryphons made my day.

I was not aware that puberty was supposed to hurt, since I don't remember anything hurting when I was going through it. Growing teeth doesn't hurt, except perhaps for little babies who are getting their first set.

I have mild, type 1, Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Going through puberty, with the associated bone growth, stress fractures in my feet were pretty well constant. Hair fine, and barely able to be resolved on x-ray, the only fix was to strap my feet up with nylon crepe bandaging every day. Waking up to aching feet, and having them ache more by the end of a day was not fun. That was what I had to deal with from about age 11 - age 14. Add to that other aches which weren't as painful. So yeah, because of that, I assumed that those bone aches was normal. Turns out I was wrong.

Wow this is a thing I didn't know about until today. That had to have sucked.

"Oh dip! A sphinx???" such a great expression.
