I made a similar post on my gamedev account a month back, but want to see what you lot have in mind.

Basically just share anything you'd like to see or are hoping to see in the game in the comments.

These aren't binding suggestions, but it helps to know what people are expecting or wanting, and possibly receive some inspiration from it. Actual suggestions for in-game content will come in the future, after a playable demo is made (and will be limited to Serpent Tier patrons).

If you are unfamiliar with the project you can look through the Game tag here, or look through my gamedev account: https://twitter.com/OrriGame

A while back i had the idea of making a dead by daylight or hello neighbor style game that takes place in willy wonkas factory and the objective is to escape before becoming a blueberry or before being fattened up to immobility

Different weight distributions, if not already planned. Could have specific game overs or enemies that add to a specific body shape, certain items or activities doing it, or even just choosing at the beginning how you want the weight to pile on.

The things I'm looking for most in stuff like this are QoL and finer details. Systems put in place to speed things up the next go-around if there are branching/missable events on the initial playthrough, ensuring there are frequent opportunities to save your progress in case of a sudden crash, creating unique text for every distinct food item/bodily description/attack rather than reusing a generic template (insofar as they pertain to the fetish at least), etc

Varying weight distribution was planned for the text game I was working on before this project. It’s definitely doable, but it’s not in the scope of *this* project. In particular the art assets are the cause for concern. Making sure different sizes of body parts actually fit together in Lilya’s combat, mirror, and dialogue sprites would shortly become tedious work. Lilya was designed so that most of the focus is on her belly and chest (her lower half would almost always be obscured by textboxes or combat menus anyway, hence the poofy skirt). The only thing close to what you’re requesting that is already planned to be in the game is the BE system, where Lilya can become exceedingly well-endowed (See: patreon.com/posts/july-sketches-1-68711759). Anything else would probably be relegated to one-off bad end scenes.

I intend to have some manner of a NG+ system, and there will be options to make it harder or easier, such as keeping Lilya’s weight, curses, and other changes, or keeping levels and equipment. How the game is going to be laid out, further playthroughs will naturally speed up just by knowing what you are going into (though I want some degree of randomness to keep things fresh). I may devise something that will reveal if there are missing scenes for locations, enemies, NPCs, and what the requirements are to see them. Either post NG or post true end. A gallery could also be made. (Though it’d be a very involved process, needing features like customizing what weight Lilya is at, her stats etc., so that they are properly reflected in the scene even if its not in a playthrough.) In my experience RPGmaker itself rarely or never crashes, unless there’s a bug. But in general, the way I want the game to be played, saves won’t be often, albeit with certain periodic actions (mainly resting) saving will be prompted. There shouldn’t be a scenario where you play for a long time and *forget* to save, if that’s what you’re concerned about. You get an item to use between rests that lets you save away from resting spots just once. Saves are limited in this way to prevent savescumming, to create scenarios where consequences are enforced by virtue of reverting them also reverting progress. Technically you could rest and save as often as you’d like, but that would have other consequences (mainly time passing). If I get around to making difficulty options though, these limitations may be lifted at the player’s discretion. Certain things do have to be generic so that they don’t bloat up the amount of time it takes to do trivial things. Food is the main healing source, and healing at times may require eating multiple food items in a row, so not every instance of eating can prompt a paragraph. A unique line at most is what you should expect. What’s likely is that random events might occur when eating based on other parameters, like gluttony. As an example: Maybe Lilya eats a cupcake then suddenly she’s eating a whole cake she was keeping for an emergency. That kind of thing, to spice up some of the more naturally monotonous elements of the game. Body descriptions will be unique per scene, because I just like writing them and sometimes they can be pertinent to what is happening. Randomized keywords also help make them less samey when read repeatedly. At most they’ll be generic, or rather pull from a pool of generic descriptions, in smaller and less important scenes (like a basic, random trap causing enough weight gain to change Lilya’s apparent size can’t really be uniquely written for).

Is there going to be ways to slap off penalties/curses/weight on the planned side characters who you can screw over? I think it would be fun to have a genocide route where you come out at the end thin and trim while leaving a trail of fat asses in your wake. Along with that having a 'pacifist route' where you take on all the punishments yourself and leave a ton of fit but likely ungrateful girls mocking your character as she becomes a ball of lard would also be fun...

I would consider taking a quick look at this: https://forum.weightgaming.com/t/apocalypse-xl-stuffing-focused-rpg-postapocalypse-college-city-setting-update-3-worlds-worst-human-aquarium/25110/20 It is a known and semi-frequent problem with RPGMaker. Especially damaging in games with long cutscenes or stretches of gameplay

As far as I can tell this is an MV and earlier problem, not seen in MZ (what I'm using). However I've added the fix as a plugin for the time being to be safe, since it's not hurting anything. Thank you for the heads up anyway. I'll be sure to add looking up any common crashes and freezes seen in MZ to my to-do list before I get around to the demo.

Being able to fatten up all the side characters while staying thin will definitely be possible. There’s an ending I outlined for specifically this scenario. Weight swaps and offloading curses won’t be the main way of achieving this, but there might be a couple scenes that will work like that. I never considered setting up scenarios with the side characters where Lilya could take the fall for them, but that’s a good idea. Particularly having them be mocking and derisive in return, or just in general. For whatever reason that never crossed my mind. It would definitely be fitting behavior for some of them. Thank you for this enlightening idea.

I think options to speed up things like text speed, auto advance conversations, or just a general speed up option to get around faster would be nice

It's no secret you're a big fan of burps, so I have to ask. Beg even. Please do not put stock RPG Maker fat game burp sound effects in your game please. For me : )

orristerioso

Do you mean burp sound effects in general or specifc generic ones commonly used? There aren't stock burp sounds in rpg maker. Either way I do understand, as I'm currently a bit skeptical about using any at all due to the low quality of what I have found, so if sound effects do get used for such things it will probably be made into an option that can be toggled.

Maybe your characters gaining abilities depending on the stuffing and weight gain scenarios.
